Going Greener – Recycling Plastic

At Riverside Plants we try our hardest to recycle and reuse.

Over the summer we gather together our damaged pots and trays, along with any that our customers return. We pop them onto pallets where they are shrink-wrapped and stored.

Once we have a decent load we then transport the pallets to our recycling partner, Grimsby Granulation, where they are shredded, washed and turned into granulated plastic. This is then sold back to plastic manufacturing companies to remake into plastic items.

We are more than happy to accept any black plastic trays which are not accepted in curb-side recycle bins.
